A Stress-Free Dental Experience for Your Family

Since 1969, Kennedy Dental Care has been dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a warm, welcoming environment. We know that visiting the dentist can be an unfamiliar experience, especially for young children, so we strive to make every visit as comfortable, educational, and positive as possible.

1. Booking Your First Appointment

Scheduling Made Easy

When you call to schedule your visit, our team will:

  • Ask about the reason for your appointment
  • Find a time that works for you and your family
  • Accommodate multiple children in a single visit whenever possible

Special Considerations? Let Us Know!

We are experienced in working with children who may have:

  • Dental anxiety or fear of the dentist – Our team is specially trained to provide a reassuring, gentle experience. You can also request an appointment with Scout, our therapy dog, for additional comfort.
  • Special needs – Our compassionate team will make any necessary accommodations to ensure a stress-free and supportive visit.

Payment Options

We offer flexible payment solutions, including:

  • Most major insurance plans
  • Medicaid
  • Our cost-effective Membership Plan for uninsured patients

2. Before Your Appointment

To help your visit go smoothly, we will:

  • Send reminders via text, email, or phone, based on your preference
  • Provide necessary forms electronically for your convenience
  • Request at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling

If you prefer to complete forms in person, please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for paperwork.

3. Check-In & Reception

When you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly front desk staff in a clean, safe, and kid-friendly environment. We will:

  • Confirm your appointment details and review any necessary paperwork
  • Provide an estimate of treatment costs, including insurance coverage or membership plan benefits
  • Ensure you and your child feel comfortable before heading to the exam room

Appointments typically last about one hour per patient. To minimize wait times, we recommend scheduling morning or early afternoon visits.

4. In the Exam Room

A caring dental assistant will walk your child to the treatment area, where we encourage parents to accompany them for support.

During the visit, your child will receive:

  • A gentle cleaning and fluoride treatment to protect against decay
  • A comprehensive dental exam by one of our experienced dentists

Your dentist will explain every step of the process, answer any questions, and provide personalized recommendations for your child’s oral health.

If additional treatment is needed, we will discuss next steps and options before proceeding.

5. After Your Visit

Before leaving, you’ll stop by the front desk to:

  • Review your child’s dental care plan, including any follow-up treatments
  • Go over insurance coverage, costs, or payment options
  • Schedule your child’s next appointment

Our goal is to ensure you have a clear understanding of your child’s oral health and feel confident about their next steps.
